Erin and Noah - Engagement Session (We love shooting engagements! It gives us a chance to get to know you as a couple to see how you interact and how you show your love for each other. When the wedding day comes, we feel like we already know you because we get a chance to spend quality time with you at your engagement session.

Anne and Casey - Bridal Session (Anne actually wanted to have Casey in her bridal photos which is very nontraditional, but yet turned out amazing! Lisa and Pat - "Day After" session (shot 3 weeks after their wedding. These sessions are quickly becoming the most popular that we do. You can get very creative with your photos while not getting your dress dirty before the wedding. We love shooting Day After sessions!

Congratulations to Morgan Woolard! She was just crowned Miss Oklahoma USA 2010 tonight. I have had the wonderful opportunity to shoot photos of Morgan a few times this year and have gotten to know her and I can say there is no contestant more worthy than her for this honor! I also had the privilege of shooting her sister Alexandra's wedding in July and can say that Morgan is surrounded by great people and an amazing family. Congratulations again Morgan! I'm so proud of you!

Elisabeth - Bridals in Memphis, Tennessee

Elisabeth flew me out to Memphis to shoot her bridals and engagements one weekend in July. We shot her and Hunter's engagements in Oxford, Mississippi and her bridals in Memphis, Tennessee. Most of the shots in this post were done on the rooftop of the Peabody Hotel in downtown Memphis. The other few on the street were around the Beale Street area. I absolutely love to travel to new and different locations when shooting engagements or bridal photos. As they say in the real estate business, location is everything. I have been looking forward to today's shoot for a long time. Anne and Casey told me a while back that they wanted to do her bridal shoot with Casey being the photos as well. Their wedding is in 3 weeks, so it is a little bit different from the traditional wedding shoot timeline, but it was freaking awesome! The gracious and amazing Beth Jansen let us use her backyard for the shoot. It is so cool. You can get lost back there in the winding mazes of bamboo. Thank you also to her husband Jeremiah for helping with the shoot. I am way too excited about this shoot. These are just a few preview shots that I quickly slapped my logo on for your enjoyment! Land Rover/Tilt Shift/Studio

Its hard to get work done when you have new toys laying around. I just got two. The first one is my new 24mm tilt shift lens. These are my first attempts at shooting with this lens. Its very tricky, but it puts out a cool effect. I call it the Mr. Rogers Neighborhood effect. Kinda makes the buildings and cars look like the models in that show (Trolley). The other new toy you will notice in the foreground of two of these photos is the Land Rover LR3 HSE. It is AWESOME! I picked it up yesterday in Pryor, Oklahoma and had a great ride back to the city. Its loaded with gadgets and features I don't need, but probably will use! The third thing I want to point out is the studio in the background. We like to call it Brownstone Studios actually. We are located just inside the tall black glass corner of the building. I posted back in May that Carl Zoch and I opened a studio, but have not really put photos of it on the site or blog yet. I will post interior photos at a later date when we get it all set up just like we want it. Its hard to do when you are shooting a wedding or two every weekend. We have loved everything about it so far. The client experience has been great here and we get so much more work done when jamming to music and editing photos on our over sized tables/desks. The only thing better than that is Carl Zoch doing the same thing across from me at his desk. I think the reason I really like this photo is because every bridesmaid had different shoes on. I have really enjoyed shooting photos for Erin Higgins and Noah Allen. First they rocked their engagement shoot and now they go out with a bang and throw an A+ wedding that we will all remember for a long time! I loved all of their details. Alexandra and Scott - Married!

Congratulations to Alexandra and Scott! They were married last month at Castle Falls in Oklahoma City. It was blistering hot that day. The 100 degree heat made me consider wearing a Nike sweatband to outdoor summer weddings from now on! Fun fact: Alexandra's sister is Morgan Woolard who I shot photos of and posted a few posts back. Both of them booked me for their wedding/shoot without knowing that each other had contacted me. I think that's pretty cool. I felt special! Just a couple of weeks ago I had the honor once again to shoot photos of former President Bush. He was in town for a private dinner and I was asked to shoot the portraits of him and each of the 30 guests in attendance. The George W. Bush Foundation is raising awareness of the new presidential library that will be built sometime next year on the SMU campus in Dallas, Texas. There were many iconic Oklahoma City figures at the dinner to support the President. I have been very blessed over the years to shoot such amazing events as these.

A couple of months ago I received a call from the Senior Photo Editor of First Magazine in New Jersey. She asked me if I would shoot some photos for an upcoming story of a local Oklahoma City girl who had lost over 100 pounds using Jillian Michael's food and exercise dieting formula.

It was great to work with Amber England. She is such an inspiration to me. We met up at the studio, did a little hair and makeup (Jennifer McLaughlin), and went through a pile of clothes with the wardrobe artist (Iris Swope) and made our way to the Farmers Market near downtown OKC to snap some fun pics of Amber. Its kinda funny how much goes into a shoot to find only one photo used in the article, but I'm not complaining. It was a lot of fun and I am very grateful for the amazing opportunity. These images were scanned from an actual copy of the magazine, so I am sorry for the poor quality. Also, none of the images on the magazine cover or in the article besides that one photo are mine.

I finally get to post photos of the lovely Mrs. Dana Altman Clark. She and Cam were married June 20, 2009 in Dallas. Wedding photos will soon follow. For now, I am excited to show you these bridal photos that we shot at Hotel ZaZa in Dallas, Texas. I huge thank you to the entire staff at the hotel for being so helpful while we were there and for letting us use "Dangerous Beauty", one of the Magnificent Seven suites. A special thank you to Benji Homsey (President of Z Resorts) and Jack Murray (Director of Sales and Marketing at Hotel ZaZa) for hooking us up. On a side note, Hotel ZaZa was named "Top 10 Boutique Hotels in the World" by Celebrated Living. The place is amazing! Go grab your sack lunch, this post is going to take a while to look at. What is up with this current trend of posting so many photos? I just can't help myself once again. Erin Higgins and Noah Allen completely worked my camera. I had to take my batteries out of my camera a few times due to the extreme heat they were putting out because this couple would not quit with the awesomeness. We shot these photos at Lake Hefner. I really like the nautical theme we were working with during the second half of the shoot. This by far is the most photos posted for an engagement session and perhaps any other blog post to date! Brace yourselves! One of the things I liked most about this shoot was that all of the locations were chosen by both of them for sentimental reasons. We shot at a park in Nichols Hills, in the Paseo Arts District, and finally at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Congratulations guys. You both are incredible people. New Studio!

It is a very exciting time in my life right now. Today, May 1, 2009, we are officially leasing our own studio gallery in the downtown Oklahoma City area. Aaron Snow Photography and Carl Zoch Photography will be sharing this amazing, one of a kind, studio space to work and meet with our clients. The studio is located on the corner of NE 3rd and Oklahoma Ave. It is just north of bricktown and a few blocks east of downtown OKC. We totally lucked out on this location! I was afraid to spread the news too early because I thought it was too good to be true! We will be the only retail space located within the Brownstones at Maywood Park. Those condos down there are absolutely awesome! Our landlord has been great so far with hooking us up with whatever we wanted to make our space stand out from all the rest. We will be painting and refinishing the concrete floors over the next week or so and will let everyone know when we will be having a grand open house! Stay tuned for that. There is a tour of homes tomorrow, Saturday, May 2nd from noon to 5:00 p.m. The tour covers all of the new living areas in the downtown and bricktown areas. You can find more info HERE. Carl and I both have weddings tomorrow, but check out the self guided tour and stop by to take a look at what we are working on. Thank you to all my amazing clients over the years and to my wonderful family for supporting me through all of this. I am truly living my dream!

Kayli and Tyler

Introducing Kayli and Tyler. The will be getting married August 1st this summer. Unfortunately, I was already booked for their wedding, but yesterday we had a great time shooting their engagement photos! Kayli brought her 5 year old daughter/model Taylor. She was amazingly cute. Last weekend I drove down to Dallas, Texas for a fantastic engagement session for Dana and Cam. They will be getting married there in Dallas on June 20th. Both of them live in Alabama right now, so we all made a special trip to meet up in Dallas for their shoot. We found some pretty vibrant colors to play around with in the Deep Ellum area just east of downtown Dallas. Im pretty excited about their photos. They did great! Congratulations to you guys. Lisa and Pat Day After (mini post)

Wow! This was fun. I have to say that this shoot is definitely in my top three most enjoyable shoots I have ever been a part of. Lisa and Pat are great. When she talked to me about shooting her wedding, she made it very clear to me that she wanted to do a shoot with Pat after they got married with their wedding attire on. I had a month to think about what to shoot, and I think they turned out just as good as I dreamed them up to be. The reason I call this a mini post is that I probably will be posting a full post later with nearly 30 photos from this session. It was hard for me to pick just a few to wet your pallets. These were shot in the Wichita Mountains in Lawton, Oklahoma on the wildlife refuge.

Future brides, keep this in mind! Day after shoots can be so worth it! Stay tuned for the full post soon. Happy Easter!

Baby Addison

One of my very best friends Stephen Smith and his wife Courtney just had a baby girl. We were so excited for them and could not wait to get down to Dallas to take photos of little baby Addison. She was about 7 days old when we shot her photos. She is one of the prettiest babies I have ever seen. I absolutely love it when there are dogs in the family that are so protective of the newborn babies. The cute puppy in this shoot is Layla. Introducing Ryan Bright and Terri Mashburn. They will be getting married in May and I get to shoot their wedding. These guys are really fun and you can see it through their photos. They really enjoy each other. It is such a joy to photograph people that really appreciate being around each other and don't feel shy about showing how they feel about one another in front of me. I think they kinda forgot I was there for a while. I have to give Ryan and Terri a BIG shout out for the Thunder tickets they hooked me up with! Jen, myself, my cousin Lisa Curl, and her boyfriend Tanner had a great time checking out the Chicago Bulls take on our Oklahoma City Thunder. We lost but still had an amazing time. This isn't really like me to do something funky like this with one photo, but I was messing with a ring shot I did for Grace and Caleb's wedding in January and saved them to a folder on my desktop and forgot about them. I curiously opened it tonight and realized that I had forgotten about editing them. I thought it might be kinda cool to show everyone. I love bright colors, but check these out! Angie and Masa are getting married in Hawaii in July this year. What!? Why am I not going with them? Not quite sure yet, but I know I would be on that plane, lickity split! It may be very hard for me to go to bed tonight at a reasonable hour. I am so pumped about the photos from this wedding I shot last Saturday. There are so many adjectives I could use to describe how awesome Lisa and Pat's wedding was, but the one that sticks out to me is POWERFUL. Their love for each other was so moving throughout the entire day on so many levels. It is so refreshing to be able to shoot a wedding like this one where you know that this couple was meant to be together and that God is smiling on their marriage. Congratulations to you both. Hello to everyone! It is Friday. Which means a few things. It is the day before Valentine's Day. Hope everyone has made it out to find the perfect gift for your special loved ones! Secondly, the weekend is finally here. I am excited because I leave on Sunday for Las Vegas to attend WPPI. It is one of the largest, if not the largest, convention for wedding and portrait photographers in the world. This will be my first trip out there, so I am going with an open mind, and will hopefully make some new friends from different places!

Last night was the inaugural meeting of the Oklahoma City P.U.G. (Pictage User Group). Our good friend Todd Scott Ballje of Beautiful Day Images hosted the event at the amazing Iguana Grill in downtown Oklahoma City. We discussed the new and improved Pictage. We had Lisa Dunham and Sophia Litchfield of LSD Photography talk a little about their photography studio in Tulsa and some of the current projects and shoots they have been working on. Josh McCullock gave a little schpiel about a cool studio organization tool that we may start to use in the near future called Shoot Q. Todd gave us a little food for thought. Thanks for the inspiration Todd. The food was great, the people were great, and we got some great photos to prove our fun! I think we had about 20 strong show up from Ada, Tulsa, Norman, Oklahoma City, Edmond, Bethany. Oklahoma was well represented last night by some excellent photographers!

The last thing I want to say is that I now only have 3 remaining dates for my 2009 wedding season. I have said from the beginning of booking season that I want to keep my weddings to a maximum number of 30. This way I won't feel over worked and will keep a fresh approach to each of the weddings I shoot. I am very, very blessed to have such amazing clients this year. I am very pumped about working with each of you! I do want to say one thing though. Please contact us as soon as possible if you are interested in using us for your wedding photography! Keep in mind, if you contact me and I am already booked for your wedding date, I will gladly send you in the direction of at least 3 other great photographers in the area that have your date available!

This is Amy Collins and Chase Key. They will be getting married in Austin, TX this summer and asked me if I would shoot their engagement photos for them. It was an extremely cold day when we shot these, so I kept the Jeep running with the heat on full blast so when we were done with a shot, we would all make a mad dash to the car and warm up all over again. They were great sports! I thought the sky in some of these was amazing. I think a cold front was moving through the city and created a very dark sky to the north east but the sun was still shining in the west. It created a very cool effect. The first shot was just outside Coffee Slingers and a few of the others were shot in McNellies. If you have not been to McNellies, go check it out. They have pretty darn good food and a great selection of choice beer. Congratulations to you both! I wish you all the best at your wedding this summer and in your new life together! I just wanted to post this picture that I think is really cool of Doug and Sara Jacobson. They were married a couple of months ago in Palm Springs, California with a few of their close friends and family in attendance. They hired me to photograph their big party/celebration/reception at the Skirvin Hilton in downtown Oklahoma City on January 17, 2009. They had a huge group of friends and family come to celebrate their marriage. They had the whole top floor at the Skirvin to themselves and they did it up right! Yesterday, Aunt Sara came over for a while and we took a break from our busy schedule of editing and watching cartoons to get out and enjoy the ice/sleet that fell over the past few days here in OKC. I went to Memphis several weeks before the wedding to photograph her bridals. This was definitely the most fun I have ever had at a bridal shoot. We first went to Sun Studio where Elvis recorded his first record with Sam Phillips. This post is long over due. A lot of you may have already seen these on Facebook, but for the rest of you who have not befriended me (please do) on Facebook, here you go! Right before Christmas, Jen, Sam and I had our family photos taken by a good friend and fellow Oklahoma City photographer, Carl Zoch. We took Sam to The Grateful Bean Cafe (Kaisers) to get a huge bowl of ice cream first and then took off to a cool field just north of town. Carl is amazing at what he does and captured our family perfectly! We could not be any happier with our photos. For those of you who do not get family photos done very often, you are really missing out! Time flies and kids grow up, so get out there and capture some moments before its too late! Thanks again Carl. You're pretty cool.

I had an amazing weekend! One of those that just reminds me of why I love what I do. One that refreshes my creative senses. I had the opportunity to photograph two bridal sessions on Friday in Guthrie at the Masonic Temple and then yesterday shot an incredible wedding at the Skirvin Hotel. I will post the bridal shoots as soon as the brides are married. I can hardly wait, but I don't want to spoil any surprises! Here is just a quick photo from the wedding yesterday. Kara and Luke were great. One of the best parts was the extra two hours they allowed me after the wedding to photograph them all over downtown and throughout the hotel. I highly recommend to any bride that you set some time apart for just you two on your day. I will post a full spread of their wedding in the near future. Congratulations to you two! Hope you are having a blast in the Dominican Republic!

This is what happens when you are a photographer with a little extra time on your hands. First things first. Sam looked extra cute this morning. He and Jen were headed out the door to go hit up some post Christmas sales at the mall. I had to snap a few of him! Then, this morning, I got up extra early because I was so excited to use my new coffee mug that my cousin got me for Christmas. Now this is sad, but I was so excited about it, I snapped a few mug shots (pun intended) of the new cup in its new environments (home and office). From what I can tell, she bought it at Anthropologie. It has my initial on it for crying out loud! Thanks Kyndal!

Every year since I can remember, I have opened pajamas on Christmas Eve. This year, we are celebrating Christmas with Jen's parents in Lawton, Oklahoma and things have not changed a bit. Jen bought me a pair of pj's I have never had before. She got me some footsie pajamas with monkey faces on the feet. Sam helped me open them and immediately saw the monkey faces on the feet and started running around the room making monkey noises! I felt like the kid in "The Christmas Story" putting on his pink bunny suit.

INSPI(RED)

This morning was very exciting. I came into the kitchen to make myself a cup of coffee and noticed that Jen had dressed Sam in his INSPI(RED) t-shirt. You see, we bought this shirt for him when he was pretty little and I have been patiently waiting for him to grow into it. Several times I had put it on him and it draped to his knees like a dress. So, I whipped out the camera and snapped a few photos of him in his (RED) shirt that fit him for the first time. You may ask why most of the photos are so fuzzy? Have you ever tried to shoot photos of an 18 month old boy running around the kitchen on a honey-nut-cheerio high?

If you have not googled to find out what the whole (RED) cause is about, I highly recommend doing so. It looks like there are about 9 different companies that carry the (RED) products. We purchased this shirt at the GAP. By doing so, we made a small contribution to help the fight against AIDS in Africa. Check it out!

Man Trip

Last Friday, Josh McCullock, Carl Zoch and I made a quick trip to the mountains of Oklahoma near Lawton to get out of our offices and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. We happened to plan this trip on what turned out to be the best day ever in Oklahoma weather history for the month of December! The skies were amazingly blue and had some cool clouds flying around. Of course Carl brought his longboards. I think I am hooked on them now. As you will see, the scenery was awesome and we got some great shots of each other being complete dorks. I was just sitting here trying to think of something to post that was a little more personal than normal. I came across these three photos from Playa Del Carmen a few weeks ago. I think this was our last day there and Sam and I talking about how much fun we had. I really do have to say that Sam Sam is really the best little boy ever. He is so smart, handsome, and has a huge personality! I am so thankful for my family! Jen is the best wife. She takes care of her boys to the highest degree. She is an amazing cook. She is an awesome mommy too. I guess this is turning into a "what I am thankful for" post all of the sudden. I am extremely thankful for the opportunity to do what I love. I love taking photographs of people. I really couldn't think of anything I would want to do more... except play a professional sport, but thats not happening! I have the best clients too and that helps! I also have some of the best friends ever! You know who you are. This Thanksgiving, I want to say "thank you" to all of you who make me happy everyday! Remember to say thank you to those who you love this holiday season.

At 4:00 today in Memphis, Tennessee, Martha Guinn will unite in holy matrimony with her best friend and partner in crime, Dudley Carter of Oxford, Mississippi. I just got back from a great rehearsal dinner with this couple and their amazing families and friends. I have never heard such great speeches in one dinner setting. The wedding is sure to be great. I can't wait to post the photos, and I have not even taken them yet! Here are just two of the photos that I have with me here in Memphis from her bridal shoot. I went to lunch today with one of my good friends. We went to one of my favorite mexican food restraunts here in Oklahoma City. Chicas serves up some of the very best grilled fish tacos ever! As we were walking into Chicas, there was this guy hovering over this table on the patio. It was weird. He never moved a muscle. We went up to him and asked what he was doing and he just said, "its none of your dang business!". He had a stack of cards by his left foot, so I took one hoping to figure out who he was. Aubrey and Robbie Miller Wedding

Aubrey and Robbie were married at Wesley United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City, OK. I have shot a few weddings there before, and they have all been gorgeous! Aubrey had 4 bridesmaids and Robbie had 6 groomsmen. Many of the wedding party and guests are closely tied to The University of Oklahoma where Aubrey and Robbie met. You can't beat a combination like that! BOOMER SOONER! After the ceremony, we headed over to Gaillardia Country Club for the reception. I have done several weddings over there in the last couple months and I am extremely impressed with the entire venue. It is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend any bride to have her wedding or reception there. The entire staff there has been great. There were so many great moments from this wedding but I can only share a few here. President Bush In Oklahoma City

President George W. Bush was in Oklahoma City today. I only told a hand full of you that I was going to be documenting the entire event. I have been extremely fortunate to know the great people at Public Issue Advisers and have been given the opportunity to photograph several political events for them over the past year. Some of the names you may recognize are Steve Forbes, J.C. Watts, Jim Inhofe, Mary Fallin, Michael Steele, and others. Today was crazy though! I got to meet the President and photograph him as he met with a few hundred McCain supporters here in Oklahoma City. This wealthy crowd was paying up to $25,000 each to have their photo made with the President and have a short discussion with him. One of the coolest parts was that besides myself and the photographer from Washington D.C., we were the only professional photographers invited. The press had to get distant shots of the house from Sooner Rd. The event was hosted at the amazing house of John D. Cresap. You have to see this place. I will post many more photos later. I just wanted to share a couple of moments with you.

I feel like I was being told to go to my room in this photo!

This was a moment I will never forget. President Bush was signing a program for a boy who was standing next to me named Samuel. The couple standing next to Samuel was anxious to get a photo with the President. He heard their excitement and looked at me and said, "Aaron, give me your camera". At first I was confused. Then he said it again and grabbed the camera out of my hands. You can see below that he accidentally took a photo of himself while grabbing it out of my hands. He then gave it to the secret service man behind him and we got the resulting photo. The President of the United States took a photo with my camera! How cool is that!

Kennedy Allen is ONE!

One year ago, Erin Allen called me to do some maternity photos. We had a great time shooting those, then she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl just a few weeks later. We did some newborn photos of Kennedy a few weeks after she was born. Kennedy has such good looking parents, but little did we know she would turn out to be a baby model! She's not really, but I think she is so cute! Her blue eyes are amazing! Happy first birthday Princess Kennedy!

Heather and Brett

Welcome to Tulsa, Oklahoma! Only here will you find a barefoot wedding that is not on a beach, chairs made of old cowboy belts, and wedding receptions inside an old barn and silo! Heather and Brett's wedding was full of character and was so much fun to photograph. Heather looked absolutely beautiful as usual and Brett had his chops grown out extra thick for the occasion. The wedding ceremony took place on the lawn in front of the beautiful Cedar Rock Inn. The reception was just next door at The Silo Center. The wedding party was great and full of smiles all night long. They totally ripped up the dance floor! It was a unique experience for me, because my brother Matt Snow was actually one of Brett's groomsmen! Congratulations to you both! Your wedding was beautiful!

Megan and Phillip

Everyone remembers Megan and Phillip from their engagement shoot a while back that was so much fun. I had the honor of going out to their hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico to photograph their beautiful wedding. I did not realize how amazing that part of the country was. I am used to going to the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, so I was pleasantly surprised to see such beautiful mountains in Albuquerque. The weather was great! We had a storm scare moments before the ceremony, but everyones prayers pushed the rain clouds right around the chapel. Speaking of chapel, this one was incredible! It is sitting on the grounds of Hotel Albuquerque and was built in the 18th century! If I were to build my own chapel, it would probably look very similar. It was really great!

I want to say thank you to all the bridesmaids for being so fun and creating such great moments to capture. The groomsmen were way cool too. Megan and Phillip, you both looked stunning on your day and everything was perfect. Thank you so much for bringing me out to your parts. I want to come back soon! (hint hint to the bridesmaids) Your wedding was so full of true emotion. I have not been to a wedding in a while where everyone seemed so emotionally involved. I loved that Phillip's dad cried (sobbed) when he was trying to get the words out to unite you both officially (see photo below). Everyone that attended your wedding was blessed by being a part. Congratulations to you both!

Whitney and Michael

Here is the ultra sexy couple Michael and Whitney. They will be getting married in just one week in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The wonderful Lorraine Hildebrant with Creative Concepts is coordinating the wedding for them, so it is sure to be amazingly beautiful! Congratulations to you both. Aaron and Rebecca

Aaron and Rebecca hail from Tulsa, but migrated south of the Oklahoma border to a little town called Dallas. They are both very creative people. I love how they dress with such color and style! They are both kinda quiet, but the humor leaked from both of them and I think I caught some great expressions at this engagement shoot. This is one of my favorite engagement shoots of the year by far. They will be tying the knot September 27th in Tulsa and fortunately they invited me to take their photos, because this is going to be a good one. I can tell! Congratulations Aaron and Rebecca!

Heylee

This past weekend was a blast. I had a few shoots in Dallas. One was an engagement shoot which I will post soon and the other was a fashion/lifestyle shoot with the amazingly beautiful Heylee Dawson. She was such a sport, considering it was nearly 100 degrees during the entire shoot. Luckily I had a crew with me or else I would have gotten lost or overheated and died. My very good friends Brad and Ashley Cunningham, my wife Jennifer Snow, and the infamous Hank the dog all made Heylee's shoot possible! We would shoot for a few minutes, cool off in the VW, change outfits, and then shoot some more. I think Heylee really rocked this shoot. I would like to hear everyones comments. If you are friends of Heylee, give extra shoutouts!! We found some really cool spots in Dallas, so I am really pumped about going back and trying some that we didn't get to use.

Sharp Shooter

Today, my good friend Jeremy and I got the urge to get out and do a fun experimental photo shoot. We grabbed a few props to take, and set out to do something a little different. I have been wanting to do some flash photography during the day to give it that cool fashion effect, and what we got when we got back and started messing with the photos in Lightroom turned out really really cool! I didn't do any work on these in Photoshop at all. You might be surprised by that, as am I when I look at them. I used my "300" preset in Lightroom to give it that dark, vintage, feel. You can even see the remote flash I used in his sun glasses. I have one Canon 580 EX flash and one 430EX flash that I put on some light stands. Then I mounted the Canon Speedlight Transmitter ST-E2 to my Canon 5D and started shooting away. There wasn't much direction on the part of posing Jeremy. He's like a cartoon already! All of the shots were done at 100 iso, 1/60, f22. I normally don't get technical at all, actually never, but thought I would share in my excitement. Enjoy! I would love to hear what all of you think! By the way, it was 96 degrees outside when we shot this, so the hat was definitely not for warmth!

Kyle and Kristen Teft

Kyle and Kristen have been some of the very best subjects of my photography over the past year. You may have seen some of their engagement photos on my website. Kristen has a smile that stretches across Oklahoma! The wedding was in Enid, Oklahoma where both Kyle and Kristen grew up. The reception was held at the country club and the band, TheWise Guys, was off the hook! It was the first time I had heard them play, and hopefully wont be the last. Those guys rocked! Adam and Elizabeth

All I can really say about this wedding is that it was way too fun! The wedding and reception were at the Waterford Hotel in Oklahoma City. Elizabeth and Adam had quite the following from Chicago show up at their big day. Elizabeth had a few surprizes throughout the night for Adam, including a Chicago Cubs baseball hat cake, ballpark hotdogs and even beer in Cubs cups. Of course everyone chimed in with the great Harry Caray to sing, "Take me out to the ballpark", in true Wrigley fashion. Everything about this wedding was beautiful. The food was amazing as well, and that never hurts my feelings! Thank you to the amazing David Anderson for assisting me with this wedding. Enjoy the photos.

Elizabeth

It is always exciting to release bridal photos to the public. You have to wait so long until the wedding day comes just to make sure the groom does not get a peek at what his amazing bride will look like on the big day. Elizabeth flew in from Chicago to get her bridal portraits done here at the Capitol Building in Oklahoma City. Thank you to her aunt and her mother for all their help with the reflectors and "wind management". The wedding photos for Elizabeth and Adam are to follow shortly. Enjoy!

We just returned from an amazing week in Cancun, Mexico! I love destination weddings! I couldn't believe that I was actually working. This is what I signed up for! Sara is my awesome sister in law and she has been dating Jason for over 6 years now. They finally tied the knot and they decided to do it in Cancun where Sara and her family have been going every year since she was 9 months old. The ceremony took place under several palm trees at the amazing Royal Mayan resort. The next day we took Sara and Jason down to the beach for some fun in the sun and shot a few very cool photos of her "trashing" her dress. I am very excited to have been a part of Sara and Jason's wedding and more photos from the rest of the trip are to follow. Enjoy!

Hot Off The Press!

We just got a few products back in the mail this week that are pretty cool. The first one is the coffee table book. This sleek photo book is included in all of my family sessions, but can also be purchased a-la-carte for any other shoot. It comes with a customizable protective sleeve that makes it very cool and personal!

Secondly, I shot Kyndal and Kristin's senior photos last month and they asked us to make them personalized graduation announcements. These cards are done through a very nice lab (WHCC) and come in a pearl finish that looks stunning! They are folded accordion style, which gives you so much room to show off all your amazing photos from your shoot. They can also be used as baby announcements or just about any other thing you want to send to someone. All you have to do is ask, and we can do it for you!

If you're anything like me, you remember your senior photos being kinda boring, right? Well check this out! When Claire's mom asked me if I would shoot her daughter's senior photos, she warned me that she had tons of personality. Well, she was right! Claire was voted class clown or something at her school. I like to call this first photo, "the many faces of Claire". There were so many really fun photos, but I only put a few up for you all. I really had a blast with this shoot! Best of luck Claire! Hey everyone! It's been a while since I have posted anything new. I have been slammed with senior shoots and weddings. I love every minute of shooting, but the editing that goes into each shoot is sometimes overwhelming. When you get great shots that your clients love, then its all so worth every minute spent. Stay tuned for new photos posted over the next week or so.

Melissa is my first featured senior this week. She was amazing! It was so easy to catch her in her moments being herself. It didn't hurt either that she brought her cute dog too!
